The program for the annual World Poker Tour’s eighth edition has been published and includes 12 tournaments. One new event, titled the “Hollywood Poker Open” will take place in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, U.S.A.

The WPT will commence with the “Bellagio Cup V”, which will be held July 13th at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas. The WPT kick-off coincides with the final rounds of the WSOP. Poker fans will have to divide their attention between the two.

Unlike recent WPT editions, all of this year’s events will be held in the United States. Previous legs in Europe and Canada included stints at Aviation Club de France in Paris, France; Casino of Barcelona in Spain; and Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Canada.

As a result of the exclusion, this year’s World Poker Tour is being referred to by some as the “American Poker Tour”.
