Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., organizer of the most prestigious poker tournaments in the world, has released the schedule for the World Series Of Poker Europe, which will be held in London from September 14.
The European version of the World Series of Poker is now in its fourth edition and, like the WSOP in Las Vegas, is richer than ever thanks to the increased number of poker players who want to participate in the tournament. During the next WSOPE no less than five bracelets will be on the line and, as a testament to Texas Hold’em’s popularity, four of the five bracelets are for winners of Texas Hold’em events.
The tournament will kick off on September 14 with a Six Handed No Limit Hold’em event. On the 16th, the Pot Limit Omaha event starts and a No Limit Hold’em event is scheduled for the 17th. Finally, on the 21st there will be a No Limit Hold’em High Roller Heads-Up event and the tournament will conclude on the 23rd with the main event: the WSOPE Championship of No Limit Hold’em with a buy in of £10,000.
During the tournament many related proceedings will occur, such as satellite tournaments, special events and poker cash games.
The WSOPE 2010 will take place at the Empire Casino in the heart of London. The location was in doubt until the last minute, since for some poker pros the casino’s rooms are too small to comfortably hold all the players.
