Annette Obrestad is finally at the WSOP!

admin June 6th, 2010

Following the surprise news of her leaving the Betfair pro team to join Full Tilt’s Poker team, Annette Obrestad is finally making her debut at the World Series of Poker 2010. The event, which began May 28 in Las Vegas, will be the first time the Norwegian poker player, who has already collected numerous victories in online poker and live poker, can play in the worlds largest poker event. She was previously banned from the WSOP because she did not meet the legal gambling age of 21 in the US.

Now that she has finally reached her 21st birthday, Annette_15, as Obrestad is known in the online poker world, can finally try to win a WSOP bracelet to be added to the one that she won at the World Series Of Poker Europe in 2007 at the age of nineteen, when she became the youngest winner of a WSOPE trophy.

After her winning record in Europe, US poker fans are hoping to see this young phenomenon of live poker play win on their soil. Apparently, a victory is a strong possibility and many bookmakers place her second among the candidates for the title of top female player. On the other side, she is listed as an outsider to actually win the main and is listed with similar odds to poker champions such as Jeff Lisandro, Jennifer Harman, Doyle Brunson, Dan Harrington and Mike Matusow.
