Mark Randall Flowers took home the WPT Spanish Championship Barcelona prize two days ago, an exciting victory for the young American player. At just twenty-years-old, the new champion won the title, 277,000 Euros and entrance to the grand final event. Flowers also received a prize package worth $25,000 to cover the cost of entry and stay in the final tournament being held at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas.
Despite his young age, Mark Randall Flowers, who will be 21 in August, has already reached the final table at three prestigious European poker events. His name is not new for those who followed the EPT Barcelona Open 2008, EPT San Remo 2008 and EPT Monte Carlo in 2009. Flowers has been participating in Europe because gambling laws in the US forbid entry to players under 21 years of age.
Mark Randall Flowers plays online with the nickname “RandAllin”.
The 2009 World Poker Tour Spanish Championship Barcelona is taking place in the shadow of the WSOP which is currently underway in Las Vegas. This is likely cause for the limited number of enrolled players in the tournament.
